Barsie's History - Part 3
Barsie's appearance remained virtually unchanged thoughout the 1950's, 60's and 70's. In 1983, Whittemore sold Barsie's to Judie's Restaurant, located next door since 1977. New owners Mary and Nancy Jenal decided it was time to give Barsie's a face-lift. They felt this could be done without changing the atmosphere and spirit of the previous Barselotti's. Windows were added along the side of the building as well as a large front window replacing a previously closed-off view to the street. High tables took the place of the booths and a small kitchen was added where a pool table had been.
