Barsies MEMORABILIA SPECIAL!
Just like the parquet floor in the old Boston Garden! Own a piece of Amherst history! A very limited number of tiles from the original Barselotti's floor were salvaged during its demolition.
Over decades this tile floor has seen millions walk, run, stumble, dance, hug, kiss, grope, reminisce, argue, laugh, cry, scream, sing, shout, fight, brawl, fall, crawl, eat, drink, puke, pass out and yes, pee on it. It's been the host for birthdays, funerals, graduations, bachelor/bachelorettes, wedding receptions, baby showers, going away, welcome back parties--you name it.
People have stood at Barsies to watch a countless number of historic sporting events--the Big, Bad Bruins of the 70's, the Bird era, the heartaches and triumphs of the Sox, the Pats dynasty and all of the great UMASS teams. Barsies floor has seen its share of celebrities from the entertainment and sports world--Actors Dustin Hoffman, John Ratzenberger, and Robert Reed, poet Dylan Thomas, sports figures Julius Erving, Bill Lee, Boog Powell, John Cerutti, Ben Davidson, Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds, Greg Landry, Mike Flanagan, Jeff Reardon, Rick Pitino, John Calipari and Dan Duquette just to name a few.
